According to ESPN.com, Giovani dos Santos has told Tottenham he is ready to leave in six months if he is not put on the first team.
Dos Santos joined Tottenham from Barcelona in 2008, but despite his impressive play, he has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League. Dos Santos would prefer the team trade him now, rather than leave when his contract expires.
"I'm either leaving the club this summer, or I'll sign for another club for free in six months time," Dos Santos told Medio Tiempo. "I am very calm [about my future]. I have a contract with Tottenham and I don't know what will happen. I might leave the club. I'm at a good team, but I want to play. However, it's not my decision as to whether Tottenham sell me or hold on to me."
Dos Santos will join Tottenham following the completion of Mexico's Olympic tournament in mid-August.
