Spanish club Valencia is closing in to sign Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago currently on loan with Roma.
Gago’s agent Marcelo Lombilla has declared to Marca that “conversations are going very well… a deal is close to be reached”. Real Madrid and Valencia have already reached a transfer deal and it seems there is a salary agreement between Gago, his agent, and club Che’s executives.
The Argentina international is looking to have the playing team he didn’t enjoy during his last couple seasons with the Merengues. The 26-year-old had 30 appearances with the Italian club last season and Valencia could be a club where he can continue having good playing time which will increase his chances of being called by Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
