America's Efrain Juarez had to leave the match in the Copa MX against Correcaminos due to a graphic injury to his right arm. The graphic injury can be seen on video here.
Juarez was disputing a ball in midfielder in the first half when he fell to the ground and twisted his arm, dislocation his shoulder where it could be seen as the arm looked in the wrong direction.
The defender was immediately taken out of the match and transferred to the hospital for evaluation. He is expected to miss three weeks of action.
America had no trouble defeating Correcaminos, breezing to a 6-0 victory off a hat trick by Martin Zuniga. Jose Maria Cardenas would score two others with Daniel Montenegro opening up the score.
Juarez, who had recovered his form in his return to Mexican soccer, could be a costly absense for America as it returns to play in the Apertura 2012.
