Ochoa would come as a replacement for Spanish Pepe Reina who has been playing for Liverpool since 2005 and how has been linked to a move to Barcelona after Víctor Valdés announced he would not renew his contract with the Catalan team.
Reina comes from Barcelona youth system and made 30 appearances for the ‘Blaugranas’ from 2000 to 2002 before he was loaned to Villarreal.
Ochoa’s contract with Ajaccio finishes this summer and the French club could see as a good option to sell the Mexican international. Liverpool would be willing to pay around 6 million euros for the 27-year old.
