Morelia took advantage of its home field advantage in Estadio Morelos to defeat Puebla 3-0 to stay undefeated in the Liga MX. The goals for the team came from Joao Rojas ('44), Carlos Morales ('45) and Miguel Sabah ('77).

The match started with a bit of a lull as Morelia took care of the ball and the visitors did not make themselves seen until 25 minutes into the match.

With the team from Michoacan trying to attack on the wings, they slowly disorganized the Puebla defense until the 44th minute when Alustiza lost the ball and Sabah passed the rebound to Joao Ramos to finished cleanly to open up the score.

As Puebla was still trying to put the pieces together from the first goal, Carlos Morales delivered the second on a free kick to the opposite poast beyond the reach of Alexandro Alvarez.

The score seemed to promise a more daring second half from Puebla, but they were dead at the half as Puebla could find no way to be a threat on the attacking third.

Morelia almost copied his first goal on a free kick in the 77th minute, but it would hit the post where Sabah would find the bal and finish into the open net to make the final score 3-0.

Monarcas rises to fourth place in the general table with nine points while Puebla continues to fall to the 17th spot with only one point.
