Juan Francisco Palencia was the msot important player for Pumas in its last title in Clausura 2011. In the final he scored a goal in the away leg and another in the second leg against Morelia, although Javier Cortes would get the goal that gave them the title.

Christian benitez was fundamental in the away leg of the Clausura 2008 for Santos to defeat Cruz Azul 2-1 with an assist and the second goal. Santos won after drawing 1-1 in the second leg.
