Ricardo Ferretti's Tigres squad played an efficient game in its visit to Atlante and left with a 3-1 victory that vaulted it to the top of the Liga MX tournament in its second match day.
Argentines Damián Álvarez and Lucas Lobos scored 10th and 53rd minutes, respectively, for Tigres, which added to the scoreline with an own goal from Gerardo Venegas in the 75th minute.
Chilean Esteban Paredes scored the only goal for the home team in the 39th minute, temporarily leveling the game before the half time break.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Álvarez received a pass from José Rivas. After Atlante tied, Lobos put the visitors ahead again from a free kick.
The own goal from Venegas came when he inadvertently redirected a shot from Brazilian Danilinho.
Atlante suffered its second consecutive defeat, while Tigres has the maximum points from two games (6 points) and is ahead of America and Tijuana on goal difference.
