Toluca takes advantage of slow week to lead the standings

Toluca took advantage of the five draws that occurred in week 3 to take the lead in the Apertura 2012. The Diablos defeated Leon 2-1, to maintain their perfect step with three victories.

Teams like Tigers and Santos were umable to add three points with draws against Atlas and Puebla, respectively, but they stayed undefeated. Another match that ended in a draw was Morelia and San Luis.

For its part, the classic between Cruz Azul and Chivas disappointed a scoreless draw, leaving the team undefeated undefeated but by adding one, while Guadalajara won its first unit, but remained winless. In turn, America remains undefeated after rescuing the tie with two goals against an Atlante team that is yet to win in the tournament.

In turn, the Xolos ended the undefeated run by Pumas to win by the minimum difference in Tijuana, while Pachuca and Hugo Sanchez got their first win in Queretaro, which remained winles.  Gallos Blancos join Jaguares, who lost with Monterrey, as the only two teams with zero points.

With respect to the scoring table, the top scorers are all foreigners. Christian Benitez, Darwin Quintero,  Lucas Silva and Martin Bravo contend for the honor beaing top scorer of the tournament,

The struggle to stay in First Division is hot, as Atlas and Queretaro are tied at the bottom of the table with 1.0282 percent on average, although Puebla, San Luis, Atlante and Jaguars are joining the party with their poor performance.

Note that seven teams remain undefeated. Toluca, Santos, Tigres, America, Cruz Azul, Atlas and Morelia.
