Dutch striker Robin van Persie is set to complete his move to rival Manchester United, Arsenal official website announced today.
“Arsenal Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Robin van Persie to Manchester United,” the club posted on its website.
A personal agreement has yet to be reached between van Persie and the Red Devils. He will travel on Thursday to Manchester to undergo a physical examination and agree to his salary wages, and the move will be completed.
The 29-year-old had also been in the radar of Manchester City and Juventus but he ended up heading to Old Trafford. Although no official financial details were announced, it is rumored that the deal went for around 22 million pounds, including an initial fee of 15 million plus bonuses based on van Persie’s performance and Man United winning any silverware.
