Mourinho: I would like to coach Portugal, at the right time

Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, admitted that he hopes to coach the Portuguese national team, "but at the right time."

The Portuguese manager, who has been at the center of attention due to a possible exit from the Spanish club at the end of the season, assured during his participation in the Dubai Global Soccer Awards conference that " I would like to coach the national team of my country, Portugal, but at the right time."

Mourinho also explained that although in soccer the rosters are always changing, it is always the manager making them, reigniting controversy over his subsitution of Casillas against Malaga.

"The manager makes the team. The success is a question of good mentors and destiny," said the manager during a press conference he shared with the legendary Diego Armando Maradona. IT is the esventh edition of the International Sports Conferencein Dubai, which also saw the presence of Barcelona president Sandro Rosell and UEFA president Michel Platini.

Also, Mourinho confessed that "to be a good manager or a good player you have to love soccer." He mentioned that he did not want to compare his career to that of Maradona, "my career cannot be comapred with maradona. He is soccer."

The former Argentinean soccer star also had praise for the Real Madrid manager: "The players must feel commited to the manager. As a former player and manager, the empathy Mourinho has with his players is top."
