The Premier League continued through the Holiday break,with its stars delivering a flurry of goals. Here we take a look at the Top 10 scorers in the league as well as their carrers in England.

The Dutch striker, Robin Van Persie, of Manchester United, leads the scorer's table with 16 goals in 21 matches.

Before playing for United, Van persie played for Arsenal between 2004 and 2012, scoring 132 goals in 278 matches.

The Uruguayan Luis Suarez, of Liverpool, is close behind with 15 goals in 20 matches.

He arrived in Liverpool in 2010 and has since scored 37 goals in 78 matches.

Sengalese striker Demba Ba, of Newcastle United, has 13 goals in 20 matches.

Since his arrival in the Premier League in 2010, he has scored 36 goals in 71 matches with Newcastle and West Ham.

Spanish midfielder, Michu, has scored 13 goals in 20 matches for Swansea City.

It is his first season in the Premier League, where he has helped the Welsh league remain at the top of the table.

The English striker, Jermain Defoe, of Tottenham Hostpurs, has 10 goals in 21 matches.

The Veteran has gone throgh various clubs since 2000, scoring 172 goals in 254 matches.

Welsh striker, Gareth Bale, has scored nine goals in 17 matches with Tottenham

Since 2005, he has 41 goals in 185 matches. He began his career with Southampton from 2005 to 2007.

Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko, of Manchester City, has scored 9 goals in 18 matches.

Since his arrival withl City, in 2011, he has 35 goals in 89 matches.

Mexican striker Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez has 8 goals in 13 games for Manchester United.

Since his arrival in 2010, he has 44 goals in 101 matches.

Belgian midfielder, Marouane Fellaini, of Everton, has scored 8 goals in 15 matches.

Since his arrival in Everton, in 2008, he has scored 28 goals in 153 games.

In 10th place is Theo Walcott, of Arsenal, with 8 goals in 16 matches.

Since 2005, he has 56 goals in 246 matches.
