Humberto Suazo refused the call up to the Chilean nationeal team for the World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay on March 22 and March 26, respectively.
In a letter directed to the officials of the Chilean federation, Chupete explained that he did not feel in form to face those games.
"I feel it benefitial to give my spot to a teammate that is in the conditions necessary for the team and that can provide what I am not in condition to provide," explained the striker in the document.
"Regarding the previous, I announce my decision to not answer the call up. I have the absolute certainty that my teammates will succeed and I wish them the best of luck," he added.
Before that Panorama, the ANFP published on their official page that Jorge Sampaoli would call up Angelo Henriquez in place of the Monterrey striker.
