Model and UFC octagon girl, Arianny Celeste, is not just famous for her beauty in and out of the ring, but she has become controversial because of her arrest for domestic violence earlier this year. Now, a brief history of Arianny Celeste.

Her real name is Arianny Celeste-Penelope Lopez Marquez, and she is ¾ Mexican and ¼ Filipina, and she is from Las Vegas.

She studied at Palo Verde High School and attended the University of Nevada, where she studied fitness and nutrition.

She started modeling at four months old, when she appeared in a car safety ad. Her first real modeling sessions were at age 15.

She debuted in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at Hard Rock Hotel in 2006. and on Feb. 4, 2010, Sports Illustrated called her the \"Woman of the Day.\"

She was also voted \"2009's Lady of the Ring\" in 2010 in the Fighter's Only magazine.

The magazine Maxim considered her the \"Hottest girl in the UFC octagon\" in the May 2010 edition, in which she appeared on the cover.

She also was on the list of the 100 most desirable females in the same magazine, where she was ranked 23rd.

UFC had an internet spectacular called UFC Ultimate Insider on July 29, 2010, an event which Celeste co-hosted along with Joe Rogan, in which they interviewed several fighters.

She also posed nude in the November edition of Playboy, and she has also appeared in FHM and Maxim in Spanish.

Scandal touched her when she was arrested May 26 of this year on a domestic violence charge after a fight with her boyfriend, Praveen Chandra.

Celeste paid a $3,000 fine and was accused of breaking her boyfriend's nose. She said he tried to choke her during the night. Both were arrested at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel.

But her popularity in the UFC has not diminished, where she is one of the favorites in and out of the ring, along with her partner, Brittney Palmer.

Her popularity has certainly not diminished amongst the fans, as one could see at the UFC Fan Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, in Las Vegas.
