
According to Sports Illustrated, the New York Post's Dan Mangan reports that New York YanMichael Pineda kees pitcher was arrested Monday morning for driving under the influence.
The arresting officer wrote that Pineda, who out for the season, ”had a fixed gaze and his eyes were bloodshot, watery and glassy” when he was stopped in Tampa. Mangan reported that his blood-alcohol level was .128 and .125 in two tests. He also reported that Pineda was charged with DUI and released on bond.
Pineda, 23, came to the Yankees in the offseason from Seattle after posting a 9-10 record and a 3.74 ERA as a rookie in 28 starts.
But he reportedly came to New York overweight, and then injured his arm.
